what is a good book that has coin prices?

ive been checking around for certain coins and the ones i find are Always cheaper than what my book says by 20 to 50 dollars can any explain
my book name is 2010 standard catalog of world coins
t o karla im only looking at graded coins from pcgs ncgs icg an one of the coins was a pcgs ms63 an was selling for 40 bucks less

I have a 1988 s proof dime in ms70 condition and would like to know its value. The PCGS website price guide says that it is worth 0.00 but i know that this can’t be true. Couldn’t someone just break open a 1988 proof set and get the dime for a much lower price?
